Returns/Exchanges

How do I return or exchange a purchase?
We make returns easy. Simply follow the instructions found here: Return + Exchange Policy.

How long does it take for me to receive a refund from a return?
You will typically see a credit to your account in about 5–10 business days after the date the refund is initiated. Keep in mind that it may take longer for the credit to show on your credit card statement, depending on the card issuer.

BOGO Sale Returns If you return an item purchased during a BOGO sale, you will be refunded the exact amount you paid for that item. The system automatically calculates and applies the discount at the time of purchase, and refunds are issued based on that calculation. We cannot combine, adjust, cancel, or add to existing or future orders.  

Can I return a sale item? Yes, but all items marked final sale are ineligible for return.

Orders

Can I cancel or change my order?
In most cases, because we ship out orders so quickly, we are unable to cancel or change any orders. That said, we encourage you to reach out immediately if any part of your order was incorrect or madein error. We’ll always do what we can to assist. We also offer no-hassle returns so we’ll make sure you are taken care of. We are here to help.

I received a damaged item or faulty item, what should I do?
Please inspect your items immediately upon arrival! In the off chance that something doesn’t seem right, claims for damaged or faulty items must be reported within 7 days of receiving your items to ensure proper credit. 


Defective or damaged items process:
Take photos of the defective or damaged item with tags on and the damaged/defective area.

Email your images to info@inheritco.com. Please indicate defective or damaged in the subject line. Also, include your order information. First + last name, order number, and defective/damaged product name.

Can I visit your retail location?
Nothing would make us happier, we love to meet new customers! Our store in Morris, MN is open to the public Monday - Wednesday from 10am-5pm, Thursday from 10am-7pm, Friday from 10am-5pm and Saturday from 10am-4pm. Map it here: Inherit, 702 Atlantic Avenue | Morris, MN 56267

How does local pick up work?
When checking out online, simply choose the local pick-up option. (note: it will only be an option to choose if you have a Minnesota address). 

Once the order is ready, you will receive an email notification. Pick-up can happen in minutes, but be sure to leave a little extra time to browse in our store. You’ll be glad you did.

When is your next sale?
The best way to stay in-the-know is to get our email newsletter. Subscribers have early access to sales, new products and news. First time subscribers also get a coupon code on their next purchase. Nice! Sign up here.

The item I just ordered went on sale, can I get the new sale price?
Great question! We totally understand how easy it can be to miss end dates on a sale,  but unfortunately, out of fairness to all of our customers we are not able to extend sales + promotions beyond the end date or apply to past or future purchases. This means we won't be able to give sale pricing or refund shipping on items already purchased before the sale begins, or after it ends. Since we love a sale just as much as you do, please be sure to sign up via text and/or email to get notified of future discounts and we will be sure to remind you!

Can I use more than one discount code?
Sorry, no. When sales and discounts are happening, you can only apply one discount code upon check out. This includes codes redeemed via our Inherit Rewards Program.

Are there any brands that aren't eligible for promotional codes?Yes, these brands are excluded from all promotions: Varley Clothing Inc, Birkenstock®, Dolce Vita Footwear, TOMS®, Warmies®, Gola®, By Rosie Jane, Hydrojug®, Steve Madden®, Free People®, Capri Blue®, Diff®, Pixie Woo®.

Can I return a sale item? Yes, but all sale items marked final sale cannot be returned or exchanged.

My size is sold out in the item I desire. Will you be restocking it?
There is an option to sign up for an email notification if and when we restock a product!  Be sure to sign up to get notified as soon as it is available!   

Do you have a uniform size guide?
We offer a universal size guide on each listing, though some are brand-specific. Each product page also notes fit, stretch, length, and model sizing (Meet the Models)to help you choose confidently. Size Guide

Can I return a Final Sale item?

All items marked final sale are ineligible for return and exchange.

What do I do if an item has shrunk after washing?

Due to the fact that we can't verify if the item washing instructions were followed; once an item has been washed it is considered *FINAL SALE* and is ineligible to return for a refund. We recommend checking all items for specific care instructions (hand-wash items should be washed by hand, never machine washed) before washing.
