This was my first time purchasing a Stella! And I’ve already ordered a couple more!
I ended up ordering 2 sizes larger than my normal size (I had measured a skirt I love the fit of and compared it to the sizing chart and that’s where it matched so I though it would fit like the skirt I own..) Long story short I pulled it out of the bag and was sad I missed the return window because it was HUGE, but it ended up working out ok. After washing & drying (I think it tightened up a bit.. but I wouldn’t be worried about shrinking much with this fabric) and I also wear it around my hips as opposed to my waist (like the models do in the photos) and I have to wear a belt otherwise it slides down. But with a belt I LOVE the fit of it. I am not a fan of clothes being too snug, so I am ok with it being a touch looser. It’s more of a straight fit that isn’t baggy, but also not hugging my hips & backside. I did order a size 8 and will see how that fits as well, and might try a size 6 after too, depending on how I like it!
If you’re unsure about size, I would recommend just picking your regular size for bottoms! Or size up one if you like looser! But it does seem to be TTS from what I can tell.

I love these skirts. I only wish the sizing was more consistent from one season to the next. Seems like each time new ones are released the measurements are different. Makes me afraid to buy more because I don't know what size to order. The ones from this set fit great though. I like the solid black in this.

I was so surprised how well this skirt fit. I am always leery about ordering clothes on line with our trying them on first. This skirt fit me perfect and I can "move" given the length. LOL.... I love the feel of the material too. A 5 start skirt!!

I needed a black skirt, Stella is my go-to, it’s for church, can be dressed up or down, l just love it. I have a Stella now in 5 colors. Just bought the corduroy, and black. I’m all set.
Stella’s are comfy, functional look sharp. Wear walking the dog, I like a slimmer silouette , Stella is that for me , not too much material but with kick plate in back let’s me walk full stride. I wear Stella’s every day. Work, play & church.

I love this skirt! I am 5'6" and it hits at my ankles. I weigh 154 lb and I ordered a size 10 but it was a little big so I exchanged it for an 8. It's stretchy and comfy. It can be dressed up or down. I don't know if the color will fade with washing but it is truly jet black. I'll wash in cold water. It has a slit in the back but it's not a high slit so it's still modest, in my opinion. I don't mind a slit if it's not above my knees.
