This skirt has good stretch, and 6 fits perfectly at the waist and hip for this short waisted, 29.5 waist, 39.5 hipped person. It is long, and I may shorten it a bit, I am 5'4". It does not have a slit, so it is noisy when I walk . Drives my husband crazy. Out and about, with normal other noise, it is not noticeable. I did size down and love it ! I originally ordered an 8, ..just didn't look good. (fit was fine) The 6 fits my hips better, in the right place, and it doesn't slide around. Returns and exchanges are so easy. I am so glad I took a chance.

The stretch is perfect to this skirt and even though I can’t take a full step it is still forgiving when I walk. I bought and 18 and it’s way to big but it was a final sale product and they were out of the size 16. I just put a few darts in it it’s perfect. I bought a few more final sale skirts and had to dart them even though they were a size 16 also. Love love looooove this skirt. Cannot say enough about the perfect quality of material also!
