Smaller than size depicted, so I couldn’t wear it, yet....

This is a beautiful, good quality top, but much shorter and smaller than I was expecting. The first time I ordered this top, I looked at the sizing chart and was surprised to find that a small should fit me (I'm generally a large or medium). I trusted the sizing chart, but when the top came, it was much too short and was too tight across the chest (gaps between buttons). So I returned it and tried a medium. Although the medium does fit better, it is still short (both in sleeve and overall length). I have a pretty regular sized body, which makes me think this top is supposed to be petite, not regular. If you are petite, order your normal size. If you are regular, be generous in sizing up.
